Does anyone know the story behind the abandoned bus at black star canyon?

Well i heard a rumor that it was a 1972 bus that was going through the canyon on a rainy day and the flipped over going off a soft mount of dirt in the rain. All but three children survived the flipping of the bus and later on down the road the bus was pushed into where it sits today. the bus used to be up the road but now its down in the creek. people have said to have heard children laughing or screaming near the bus at night or at dusk. i was there 2 days ago and i didn't hear anything except "Black Star Bill" yelling at us to stay away from the bus. but its all here say

haha we went down to the bus the same day! but black star bill wasnt there!
hey thanks for the story man
the only thing i dont know is why it was on black star canyon road in the first place and why the bottom of the bus is wooden? it looks older than the 70s.

I don't know the story, but I can tell you of an experience that happened there to a friend of mine and his friend. Supposedly they were hiking up there [pretty sure it was the daytime] and they found the bus and found axe markings in it and then a few minutes later a guy in a mask carrying an axe started running after them. Black Star Bill, perhaps? Any more accounts of this happening?

I call BS on that story. But that's just me. I haven't been up in a while so I don't know. Maybe some drunken or bored teenaged idiot? Who knows.

It totally could be a bs story. I mean half of the things people "hear" or "see" at night up there is really just their minds playing tricks on them because they're expecting/hoping to be scared. But honestly who would want to go hiking near all of these places like the squatter camps and whatnot when they know they could be attacked, even in the day time? I don't get it.

I have a picture of the bus before it was rolled over into the creek... I really dont think kids were killed in it. It was gutted out before it was even pushed in there.

I have a story. me and my friends went up to black star to prove some of these myths. and we went to the gravity hill by the magic bus. and we poured baby powder all over the car and we put it into nuetral. and we literally saw hand prints start to appear on our back shield window. it was eerie. My friend put the car back into drive and we took off. NEVER GOING BACK THERE AGAIN. supposelpy it was kids hands. there were small. but who knows. never really got to hear laughter or screamming sense we were screaming. creepy stuff.

i was out in blackstar today it was the first time ive ever went back there i saw the bus and went down and took some pics, i heard that the bus went to go pick up the kids and took the turn to sharp and went off the road killing all 12 kids, when they got to the accident they couldnt find the bus driver.

heres a blog on blackstar written by art tuttles daughter it has a pic of the bus but im not sure why anyone would dump a bus in the creek, this bus dosnt have any tires on it thou.. i looked at the bus and the pics of the bus i have taken and they match but no tires....
