me and 7 other friends wanted to go out to blackstar to spook ourselves and just have a good time. we drove out in 3 cars and parked by the gates. we didnt get far past the gate before we got greeted by a white truck and the guy inside told us that it was private road and he wanted us to get the hell out. we didnt want to argue with the guy and figured he was leaving and found us on his way out so figured wed just go back after he left. he followed us out in his truck but stayed a good distance of probably 100 feet behind us the whole way. a couple minutes into walking back me and a couple people decide to try and reason with him and just tell him that we wanted to go to the canyon and its a public road and blah blah so as we tried to approach him he threw the car in reverse and kept his distance. each step wed take to get a little closer hed keep reversing. the only thing he said at that point was get out of here before the cops get here then he stopped talking, even though we stood there for a good 5 minutes trying to get him to talk to us.
so now we have gotten out of the gate and back in our cars and start to drive off. the last car with us that left said they looked back and saw the truck reversing away as we were leaving, so we drove out a good ways and parked on the side of the road to discus what we were going to do. we decide to head back there after about 10 minutes becuase we figured he had left and wed just be quieter and stuff, but as we were heading back, we notice a white truck parked in the shadows of a tree on the side of the road, at least a mile before the gate, so we quickly made a uturn and got out of there. it was obvious at this point the guy just came out to make us leave.
so we go back and park at the side of the road and after 10 minutes decide to just send one car to see if he has left yet, so i went with acouple people and as we were abotu to turn into a road leading to blackstar, the car coming the opposite direction turned onto that road and we noticed it was a police car, so we turned around and told everybody else and we all drove off. about 30 seconds after we started driving off my car (in the lead) got a call from the back car frantically saying "dude the cops are right behind you guys!", and right as he was saying that the cop does his sirens and pulls over my 2 friends in the car behind me.
my car and the other car that hasnt been pulled over yet keep driving out trying to get out of there not knowing what the hell was going on, and talking to our friends in the car behind us they are saying that there is another cop behind them. we keep driving out and i turn out on santa margarita and my friends kept driving straight and as we are turning we can see the cop car is still following my friends.
my car ended up at carls jr not knowing what was going on because nobody in the other cars would pick up their phones. about an hour later on friend from the first car that got pulled over finally picked up the phone and pretty much told us this "we got pulled over by many cops with assault rifles, searched, handcuffed, and thrown in the back of their squad cars the car got searched."
finally our other friends call us and tell us a very similar thing, except apparently the cop car that was following them was waiting for backup, because there were 8 cop cars and a helicopter at the scene, where they also got pulled over and got big guns pointed at their heads and cuffed and thrown in the back of squad cars.
we finally all grouped back up at the carls jr after everythign ended to get the full story from everybody. basically what happened was black star bill (the guy who was driving the white truck) called the police and said we had assault rifles and were threatening him with them.... wtf? the whole ordeal was just so messed up, theres just not much more to say about it. i got alot of stuff on video camera when we went back to carls jr and i recorded everybodys storys being pulled over and might put it up on youtube or something at a later time.
why the fuck do they listen to such a crazy story from a guy like blackstar bill, who according to those police officers who pulled my buddies over, has shot people, been arrested, shoots bikers for fun, etc, and also, are they even in the right to do that? (as in arrest my 4 friends at gun point under a 'suspicion' of a weapon? they didnt even apologize int he end, and they were being racist to my hispanic friend.

That sounds pretty scary. I woulda crapped my pants!
I've been there a few times with a couple different motives. One night, I went there at about 2 or 3am with 2 girls in my car with me. I wanted to scare them silly. They didn't wanna get out of the car though. So we were driving there and we get onto the street that leads to the gate. On the way in, I saw headlights in the distance and I kinda got freaked out because I was wondering who else would be there at that time of the morning. As I got closer and as the other car approached me, we both slowed down a little bit as it is a narrow road. I could tell that it was a Chevy Tahoe based on the headlights and as we passed each other, I saw Sheriff on the side of the SUV and I was like, oh great... I proceeded on driving towards the gate and made it a couple minutes later. I stopped there for a couple minutes and then turned back. On my way back, I saw a small faint light in the distance on the side of the road. I approached it with caution as I didn't know what to expect. Well it turns out it was the same Sheriff in his Tahoe SUV. He had turned around himself, I'm guessing to watch for my return out to the main street. He had the far right side of his light bar on with just a small white light, I hadn't seen such a thing before. So I eerily continued constantly checking my rearview mirror for anything. I didn't see anything and then all the sudden about 20 feet behind me, headlights were turned on. Apparently the Sheriff had waited for me to pass then turned off his light and snuck up behind me. I was like wow holy crap! I was not expecting that as it was pitch black outside. So I continue at a moderate speed as to not possibly get a speeding ticket or something. About a minute later as we got to the beginning of the road where there was a stop sign at the next road, he lights me up and so I pull over. I did not know what to expect at all. He walked up to the car and asked why we were out here and I told him I must have made a wrong turn because I was trying to get to Irvine. He then said that he pulled me over because my license plate lights were out (which they were) and he asked for license, registration, and insurance. So I handed it all to him and he said he'd be back in a just a minute. I was waiting and waiting, nervous as heck because I did not know what to expect. About 10 minutes later he comes back to the car. He handed me my paperwork and said where are you headed again? I told him Irvine. He then told me the directions back and I proceeded on my way. He didn't saying anything else when he returned to my car and I didn't get a ticket for my plate lights being out. Just a late night cop story for you but it was scary as shit because of all the other cop stories I have head about Blackstar before.

If he had a moustache that looked cheesy enough to be straight out of a 1970's cop show, I've been pulled over twice by the dude. He likes to sneak up on you even when you have done nothing wrong, especially if at first glance you look like a troublemaker. Which of course means anyone under the age of 25 who is anything less than all american clean cut jock types it seems.

That's the funniest thing because I just went there today,
We were talking on our way there about people getting chased by white cars. We noticed there was a white truck behind us for the past 10 minutes ( we weren't even near black star yet ) so we decided to test this guy and see if he'd follow, we turned to a random street and he went straight.
When we turned around we went and turned into black star.
We noticed a white car ( a hummer ) and the windows were tinted so we could not see who it was.
I told my friend to go but we just wanted to see what this guy would do, so we stayed there and this person left. We noticed he was within like 100 feet from us and then we found a cop car sitting there. So we left and the cop started following us.
After we left the cop wasn't even there when we came back about 15 minutes later.
We heard foot steps and saw blue lights and it was just freaky, I'm planning on going in the daylight next sunday to see the abandoned shack/bus
