So i live in anaheim, i go to blackstar in the mornings to jog on occasion. however all through high school i believed it to be haunted. i have been up there plenty of times now, day and night. after 10pm if youre found parked up there you will get a "street sweeping" ticket... even though youre parked in dirt... i have yet to see any super natural phenomenon... however the dangers i have run into are: 1. locals. i hear they are nice but i have not had that experience, i try and be friendly and respectful and all i get are threats and they tell me to leave. no actual violence though, but like i said i'm respectful. 2. idiots. some kids go up there and set off fireworks or just try and scare you. there was a group of 3 guys last month who tried to fight me and my friends... luckily a few other guys came up and they realized they were outnumbered (not that we wanted to fight). 4. animals. i took a small group of girls at night, they got very jumpy. i tried to reassure them then we saw two mountain lions and the girls flipped. the mountain lions saw us and stayed a distance away, they were across the canyon and up the hill, but still a little scary. we got a ticket that night, like i said "street sweeping" but it was only $35. my next trip up there i would like to see the blackstar falls... i hear they are nice, this time of year im sure they will be dry but i'd still like to see it... its a 10-12 mile hike i hear and its past the tuttle place off the trail, which makes me nervous but i hear its legal... i'm gonna take a small group, no wimps, there will be boulder hopping so no one too heavy or too weak... i am trained in first aid/cpr but ive never used it and i dont want to.. i'm not a guide of any sorts just a bored guy who likes the outdoors, but i'll take anyone who wants to go with. just e-mail me. timothypigeon@aol.com

its fun but i dont believe its haunted, the thrill of the locals is the only scary part
