I remember a time when my buddy took my drummer and I to BSC. We were in a lifted Ford f-150 truck headed towards the canyon. What struck me at first was all the offroading we had done. My head kept hitting the cieling of the truck and our bodies were flying all inside the truck....From that point I thought we were done for. The driver exclaimed, "this is just the begginning!" We came to a trail that looked very eerie...I believe it was the back entrance to BlackStar. As we proceeded, we took this trail that curved to the right. It wasnt scary at first because it was just the wilderness. but all the sudden when we proceeded, the trees arched over from both sides....Making it look like the trees were alive, forming a tunnel in perfect formation. I felt pretty scared at this point...But then we came across a small house....We parked the truck directly in front of the door and shined the brights. The door immediately swung open. We booked it! As we went back, the driver stopped and turned off the headlights. I stuck my hand out the window and it dissappeared. It is pitch black up there! I swore id never go back...
But now...in June 2009. I decided id take a few buddies and go on foot through the first entrance. It was my vocalist, his gf and my best friend. I was equipped with a high powered bb gun, the gf had a big branch and my best friend was equipped with a pocket knife.
Going on foot was a really awesome experience!!! It was really scary because after the first few hundred feet i felt like someone was watching me. I turned around and no one was there. Everyone else always turned around to see what was behind them....but nothing...we walked about 2 and a half miles. I was explaining the legends and ghost stories of bsc to my vocalist (he is from neraska). I then talked about stories of people seeing mountain lions...He then froze and wanted to turn back. I told him to stop being a pussy and we would walk just a little further. As we went around the next bend he kept being scared of mountain lions. The ghost, squatters, killers etc. were of no concern to him...We had 2 flashlights shining side to side. All of a sudden, the bushes to our left moived rapidly as if someone or something ran through it. As we shined our lights, it stopped! We shined our lights in a different direction and it moved again! We kept the lights were it stood (behind the brush).....we stood there for 2 minutes. That fucking thing was watching us. staring at us. Whatever it was it did not move from its spot. We disreguarded it and proceeded. On the way, nothing looked too weird....But out of nowhere...a random well was off in the distance. This was probably the scariest part because of the legend of the ghost inside a well...
This post has been too long, but today as i write this. Me and a few friends are going to go to that well. We are walking all the way into the heart of the canyon.

Me and my friends went last time and the same thing happened to us. We felt someone watching us. Then my friend asked me if I'd heard something off to the left. Sure enough ii see something moving in the bushes to the left. I thought it was wind but nothing else was moving.

laurenb, honey, i must say i dont really approve of your recent decisions.... going to black star alone at night does not sound particularly safe. even with friends. were you high? drunk? these substances are not good for you!!! ill send you the number of an addiction hotline to help you if you need. also, if you're sexually active, i really must suggest condoms. i know what you kids do in the canyon!! if you're too ashamed to buy condoms, ill buy them for you. btw, how's your relationship with your father? sometimes, negativity in that area can prompt inappropriate actions and just down-right bad decisions! im just really concerned... do you have a specific significant other, because i think that might really help you find better things to do than vandalizing and loitering around places like the canyon where you're not really wanted. how about college? what are your plans? don't get sucked into the saddleback curse!! i really want to see you go far in life, and if there's any way i can help you, i will!! just let me know!!
