I've lived in south county all of my life and when I was younger, my mom and I would drive through Silverado Canyon all the time. Every once in a while, I'd notice millitary helicopters hovering in the area of Black Star Canyon. This was MANY years before I even knew what the place was. Fast forward a little over 10 years and I still see millitary black hawk helicopters in the area. About 6 years ago, I was with my girl friend at the time at night over by the road block. Without warning, a black hawk flies in with no lights on and lands in a field probably 100 yards from where we were. Has anybody else seen anything millitary in the area?

Hmmm... That sounds interesting. Steven, you are the one that mentioned that a police to you not to go up there because weird things happen right?

Put that statement together with the choppers and it does sound like weird stuff goes on up there.

well the way I put that together is that those are most likely irrelevant to one another. The sheriff runs calls in there plenty of times a night. They know and have met the residents #'s of times so they warn you because you can get hurt by those people. I would leave the military helo-drop separate from the sheriff's warnings as two different things.

I go to black star obce every week and hike or bmx at some jumps me and my friends built back there we have seen millitary hellicopters also. So I went and talked to my buddy Jake who is a navy seal and he said Marine Recon teams do some type of special opps training back there

I go there very often, but I haven't yet seen any helicopters.

I have, however, seen many, many cops, sometimes acting rather strangely.

On one occasion, I drove down to the road block and saw two large SUV cop cars with their brights on parked on the left side of the road. On the right side of the road (what they were shining their brights at) was an old car. There were two men dressed in overalls and red shirts with large boots, bending down into the trunk and retrieving what looked like shovels.
One man was wearing a construction hard-hat with a light on it, and the other simply wore a light strapped onto his head.
They turned and stared at me when I drove up, and I turned around and slowly inched away from them, staring at them in my rear-view mirror.

Not sure what the hell was up with that, but I'd like to know.

Maybe there was some dead animal there from all of the cult rituals and the police called them to clean it up? hmmmm

I have been down there a few times with a friend and have spotted Black hawks. Its not too far fetched to assume that Pendleton which is located at the base of the Santa Ana mountains may carry out training in the mountain range.

Blackhawks are out of the base in Los Alamitos; they are National Guard and authorized by the CNF to use the area and land in any of 12 predesignated sites... If you see them at night, they probably saw you first, as the pilots have NVGs (night vision goggles), especially if you do not follow light discipline. Occasionally the area is used by civilian helos for training, too.

Ive heard similar stories from a couple different people that live in the area. But I live right down chapman, not too far away and have never seen anything.
