So I went to blackstar tonight with some friends to go on a little hike. I have been numerous times experienced a couple things but this was SUPER different. We were only by the mine that is all closed off and covered with tarp. I was walking past it like I usually do and the light above it (that I have never seen turned on before) all of a sudden turned on and there was a REALLY Loud siren. Then it just turned off. Has anyone else experienced this or know whybit went off?? I'm thinking it was a warning thing for the mine back in the day in case of emeregency but can figure out why it went off......

It's about 20 mins into the trail maybe. It's all closed off and covered in black tarp. It's right before all the hay stacks.

i was back there with a couple friends of mine
i decided to walk back with half of the group but my other friends kept walking and we saw them running back and they said that at the mine they heard a loud siren and like 3 flashing lights

have u seen the inferred camera's they posted there? they were taking pics of u guys the whole time.. kinda creepy

They are security cameras owned by the irvine company, the siren will go off if you do something they don't like, i'm guessing you tried to see what was underneath.

Nope didn't look underneath or anything just simply walked past it and I said in the post in the beginning. But they only have these cameras by the mine... kind of odd.

How can they be watching at all times? i doubt that doing something they dont like would set it off, its probably a motion sensor.
