So me and 3 other friends spontaneously decided to go to Black Star Canyon. We didn't know what to expect when we first parked and walked in for about 15 minutes. Nothing happened but we were scared. As we walked back, we saw some other teenagers at the entrance.
They walked in and we walked out. By now, it was dark. 3 of the 4 of us decided we wanted to go back in with the other group. We caught up to them and walked for about an hour and the whole time, the people were telling us stories. We got to the first bridge and the large spooky field, and stopped. As we began walking back, we heard a helicopter and didn't think anything of it. But the whole time we were walking back the helicopter was continuously circling around us until it turned on a search light. After 10 minutes of walking, we passed the field and by a wooden box that was probably 10x12 feet when a flash suddenly went off from a camera. About 5 seconds later another went off then a third. Everybody was scared, but the flash came from inside the box like it was motion detected. Everybody was tripping out all while the helicopter was still around us. Suddenly we just heard booming sounds as if somebody was playing drums off in the distance or hitting a gong, and this was repeated for a while. We were about 5 minutes from the car and suddenly we noticed a car stopped at the gate. All of a sudden, the car goes through the gate and slowly passes us. Once it passed us, we realized it was a cop car SUV and it absolutely gassed it hitting probably 80 mph. We got back to the car trippen out. We left at about 11 at night with the helicopter still flying over head.

They are outdoor security cameras owned by the irvine company because its private property on each side of the road.

I was hiking that same night, but in the Canyon over by Skyline in Corona. (Where the road to Black Star eventually ends) I saw the police helicopter. It was far to the west over near where BSC is. It had it's flood light on. It even circled by me and my friend for a little bit. They probably saw they light from my mag flashlight and decided to fly over. This caused me to turn it off. It then flew back over to where you were at. Sounds very strange to me.
