James Irvine III Newbie Member	# Posted: 19 Jul 2011 14:58 Does anyone know the exact directions to get to the historic indian village or the waterfall? I have hiked Black Star Canyon many times and so far those are the only two places I have not explored yet. Also is there anything else cool to explore in the area? I heard the hidden ranch was taken down, but are there any mines left in the area?

There's a group from Los Angeles that comes here to dig for fossils i.e. Ammonites from the Cretaceous period. The dig site is documented here: http://ip.nhm.org/ipdatabase/locality/27140
