While the Santiago fire is threatening the Cleveland National Forest it seems that Blackstar is currently safe. The sections of the forest burning are south of Blackstar Canyon.
The OC Register has a Google map of the current situation here. You can easily find Blackstar Canyon Road along Santiago Canyon Road.
